Sumerlands' self-titled debut album, released in 2016, is a classic heavy metal album inspired by the sounds of the 70s and 80s, particularly the guitar-driven styles of that era. It features former Hour of 13 vocalist Phil Swanson and guitarist/producer Arthur Rizk, known for his work with bands like Inquisition and Power Trip. The album is characterized by its throwback sound, with influences from early Queensrÿche, Black Sabbath, and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.
